PERANAN TELEPON UMUM

Hampir disetiap tempat penting terdapat telepon umum. Di dekat pasar, kantor kelurahan dan kecamatan, terminal bus, stasiun kereta api, rumah sakit, bahkan di sekolah adatelepon umum.

Telepon umum disediakan oleh pemerintah untuk masyarakat. Pembangunan telepon umum dilakukan oleh PT Telkom. Pemerintah menyadari betapa pentingnya telepon umum bagi anggota masyarakat. Dengan adanya teleepon umum, seseorang bias dengan cepat berhubungan dengan orang lain yang tempat tinggalnya berjauhan. Bila ada kebakaran, orang bisa dengan cepat menghubungi pemadam kebakaran. Bila ada kecelakaan, orang dengan cepat menghubungi polisi atau rumah sakit.

Mengingat telepon umum sangat penting, pergunakanlah telepon umum dengan baik. Jangan mencorat coret telepon, apalagi merusaknya. Menggunakan telepon umum jangan terlalu lama. Bicaralah sepenuhnya. Ingatlah, orang lain pun banyak juga yang ingin menggunakan telepon umum tersebut. Sesuai dengan namanya telapon umum itu untuk kepentingan umum atau kepentingan bersama.
